Fragonard Exhibition: Pleasures of a Century
Jean Honoré de Fragonard made his reputation through his brilliant paintings of the gallant pleasures and refined tastes of his time. The Jacquemart André museum has gathered together about a hundred of his works from around the world until the 13th of January 2008.
| Fragonard was one of the most important artists of the 18th century; he immortalized all the popular themes of his day: mythology, splendors in the grass, the closeness of family life and even some taboos to give fresh life to his period. |
