The Village Voice – US Bookstore in Paris
For Parisians in search of American newspapers and magazines there are really only 3 addresses in Paris: WH Smith on the Rue de Rivoli, Brentano’s on the Ave. de L’Opera, and the Village Voice in Saint Germain des Prés
| The bookstore gets its name from the famous newspaper created by Norman Mailer in the ‘60’s, but you won’t find the paper there. You will find all sorts of other trendy rags like the New Yorker, the Sunday New York Times and New York monthly.
|
| The purpose of the shop has been to bring together Anglophone, Anglophile and French literature and, to this end, regularly organizes soirées with celebrated English language writers. Check out the schedule on their website.
