The CFA Hôtellerie Restauration Médéric, 20 Rue Mederic in the 17th is one of France's premier restaurant and hotel training schools and the students practice on the public every day!. You can call up and reserve a business lunch (14 Euros a head) or a sumptuous gourmet dinner (17 Euros) a couple of days in advance, then show up and dine in their three star dining room, decorated just like some of the finest restaurants in Paris.

The students are all future pros and the complete antithesis to the Snooty French Garcon so often associated with fine dining. They are friendly, eager to please and very, very, good at what they do (They have to be, the school director or one of his staff are always supervising). It's a great night out for a Hamburger budget.
