Pont Rouelle (Passerelle de Passy)
This railway bridge, also called Passerelle de Passy, was built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle (World Fair).
| In 1924, rail traffic was interrupted and the bridge was closed, but the 1985 opening of RER line C led to the complete restoration and the bridge was re-inaugurated in 1988. |
| The bridge as it stands today is a remarkable combination of stone and iron. It forms an arc over the Île aux Cygnes (Swan Island) connecting the headquarters of Radio France to the Quai de Grenelle. |
