Summer holidays and families frolicking on fine sand beaches: where else but Paris Plages? As this annual event gets underway, Parisians and tourists alike will be seen on ... This year, three sites are dedicated to this event: the Bassin de la Villette, where people can practice water sports, the Port de la Gare, near the Grande Bibliotheque, and of course, the usual three kimometer long 'city beach' between the Louvre and the Pont de Sully.
