Bercy will host the matches in Paris for 24 qualified teams from Germany, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Korea, Croatia, Spain, France, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Romania, Russia, The Ukraine and Tunisia.

The French took the title in 2003, scored a silver medal in 1999 and a bronze in 2002. In spite of their lackluster performance in 2005 Olivier Krumbholz’s girls are considered a force to be reckoned with this time around, but the favorites are without a doubt the Russians, Norwegians and Germans.
