Les Halles: The project continues
The renovation of the Forum des Halles reached a critical pass on the 29th of June 2007 with the choice of the « Canopy » proposal by Architects Patrick Berger and Jacques Anziutti, the laureates of the contest started in 2006.
| The contest is in keeping with the renovation philosophy for the area. The designers feel that « Canopy » will provide « real feeling » for visitors. |
| A visitor’s center has been open to the public since December 11th with a model showing how the project will look once completed. Work is scheduled for completion in 2009. |
