The Beauvais Airport
The Aéroport de Beauvais-Tillé is located in the town of Beauvais, not far from Paris. It was built in the 1930’s and opened to commercial flights in the mid-1950’s. This airport is much smaller and less-frequented than Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly, Paris’ two other main airports.
| A number of discount inter-European airlines operate out of Beauvais. Security here is comparable to that of most international airpots, and it’s recommended travelers arrive early to allow for security and identity checks, etc. |
