Welcome to Paris for all of you! So you decided to come to Paris and visit the wonderful 'City of Light'. Of course, your stay in Paris is probably far too short to discover all of its marvels.

So here is our 'Top 10' list, a suggested to-do list to help you sort out the best things to do during your stay, especially if this is your first Paris visit. 1. Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is the name of an iron tower built in Paris, between the Champ de Mars and the Seine River. This tower, named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, has become a global icon of France and is one of the most recognizable structures in the world. It is the tallest building in Paris. 6,719,200 people visited the tower in 2006. It is the most visited paid monument in the world. read more...

2. Louvre Museum
	The Louvre museum is the most visited and famous art museum in the world. The structure is located on the Right Bank, between the Seine River and the Rue de Rivoli. The building holds some of the world's most famous works of art, such as Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, Jacques Louis David's Oath of the Horatii, Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People, and Alexandros of Antioch's Venus de Milo. read more...

3. Notre-Dame de Paris
	Notre Dame de Paris, simply known as Notre Dame, is a magnificent roman Gothic cathedral situated on the Île de la Cité in Paris. Notre Dame de Paris is widely considered as one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. It was restored and saved from destruction by Viollet-le-Duc, one of France's most famous architects. The name Notre Dame means "Our Lady" in French. read more...

4. Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees Avenue

The Arc de Triomphe is a Paris historical landmark designed by Jean Chalgrin in 1806. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, also known as the Place de l'Étoile (Star Square). It is at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The arch honours those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars, and today also includes the tomb of the unknown soldier. read more...

5. Musée d'Orsay
	The Musée d'Orsay is a museum located on the left bank of the Seine, housed in a former railway station, the Gare d'Orsay. It holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1914, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography, and is probably best known for its extensive collection of impressionist masterpieces by popular painters such as Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Pissarro. read more...

6. Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur
	Montmartre is a hill (130 metres high) in the north of Paris. It is also the name of the district surrounding this hill. It was primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit, then as a nightclub district. Many artists had studios or worked around the community of Montmartre such as Salvador Dalí, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh. read more...

7. Centre Georges Pompidou
	Centre Georges Pompidou (constructed 1971–1977 and known as the Pompidou Centre in English) is a complex in the Beaubourg area of the IVe arrondissement of Paris, near Les Halles and the Marais. It houses a vast public library, the Musée National d'Art Moderne, and IRCAM, a centre for music and acoustic research. Because of its location, it is known locally as Beaubourg. read more...

8. La Sorbonne and the Quartier Latin
	The name Sorbonne (La Sorbonne) is commonly used to refer to the historic University of Paris. Built in 1257, the Collège de Sorbonne is named after its founder, Robert de Sorbon, a theologian. It stands in the middle of the Latin Quarter of Paris (Quartier latin), an area in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, known for its lively atmosphere and bistros. read more...

9. Cimetière du Père Lachaise

Père-Lachaise Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Paris. Père-Lachaise is one of the most famous cemeteries in the world. Located in the 20e arrondissement, it is reputed to be the world's most-visited cemetery, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to the graves of those who have enhanced French life over the past 200 years.
